Paperdecoration Mulberry Paper Red Wine 500g

This is Powertex Paper Decoration in Red Wine — a beautifully textured paper made from dried Asian mulberry bark, with a natural strength and organic look you won't get from ordinary craft paper.

Mist it lightly with water first to dampen it evenly — that's the trick to getting Universal Medium to absorb evenly through the fibers instead of pooling in spots. Once dampened, rub Powertex Universal Medium into the fibers and apply it to your project; it strengthens and shapes beautifully as it dries. It's especially lovely for building form into fabric sculptures, adding depth and texture to paintings, or creating one-of-a-kind decorative pieces.

For shaping while it dries, tuck a wad of plastic wrap underneath to hold a fold or curve, then remove it once everything's set. And if you want to fine-tune the shape, let it start to stiffen first, then come back and adjust before it fully dries.

Tips:

• Mist with water first for more even absorption of Universal Medium
• Use a plastic wrap wad underneath to hold shape while drying, then remove once set
• If the paper gets too stiff to work with mid-project, a light mist of water will soften it back up
