This is where things get interesting. Powereffect Exterior Green is an interference pigment, meaning it doesn't behave like a normal color — it shifts depending on what you put it over. On a light-colored surface you'll see a subtle color shimmer; on a dark surface, that same pigment pops with a vibrant, glowing color as it catches the light.
Mix it into wet Universal Medium, knead it into your clay, or blend it into Easy Structure to build that shifting shimmer into your piece from the inside out.
My favorite way to use it: mix a little into Easy Varnish and dry-brush it over raised texture — try it over both a light and a dark base coat on the same piece to see the color-shift effect side by side.
What you can do with it:
- Layer over a dark base for a vibrant, glowing pop of color
- Layer over a light base for a subtle, shimmering shift
- Mix into Universal Medium, clay, or Easy Structure to build the effect into your piece
- Dry-brush with Easy Varnish over raised details for dimensional shimmer
Tips:
- Experiment on both a light and a dark base — the same pigment gives you two completely different looks
- A little goes a long way — start subtle and build up the effect
